    ummmmmmm, vegies?

I usually just order whatever they have that doesn't have meat in it...and looks the most advertising...

usually the options are ok...occasionally they can be pretty dodgy...

salads (yea i know, gets boring as sin after a while. experiment with dressings tho!) some places have veggie soups, veggi wraps, falafel if they have it (which is seriously the greatest thing on this planet.) if all else fails, find something meaty that looks good and order it without the meat. like if they have a grilled chicken wrap, just order it without the chicken. i've done that a couple of times and had them tell me that they do have a veggi wrap, it just isn't on the menu. heh, my friend allison once went into a macdonalds and ordered a big mac - without the burger. oh allison...

I don't attend resturants as much as I used to. When I went I would either order salads or french fries (yummy potato products).

I tried to get veggie burgers at some resturants but that stopped after I ordered one (from Home Run Burger in little Blenheim) and all I got was a bun with all of the fixings. I wasn't impressed.

bits of unused veggies: onion, celery, carrot peels, etc.
Same idea as bone stock, use what you wouldn't.

Some burger joints will let you either stuff some buns with vegetables and/or cheese, or they may even serve GardenBurgers or Boca Burgers.

when my boyfriend came down for spring break we ate out a LOT and my god, it is so hard to find decent veggie food in this town. i work at a "gourmet" grocery store so luckily they have a great salad bar and serve a wicked veggie pizza and do veggie sandwiches, and make your own pasta, and just started doing some veggie wraps too :D :D

one place in town had a chinese buffet with more than like four veggie items (those being fried rice, white rice, lo mein, and sauteed mushrooms..) that was refreshing.. but we went into a thai restaurant to look over the menu because i had heard that a lot of thai food was vegetarian, but i think there were two items without meat, and one was soup... so yeah, it's tough finding veggie food here, especially with the popularity of BBQ and the low-carb, atkins diets, but most restaurants will serve one or two items without meat, and of course there's always the side salads that never come with meat... and i've gotten nachos several times without meat on it,

oh yes, here's a few things you can get easily in restaurants (depending on where you go of course)
cheese enchiladas, cheese ravioli, spinach lasagna, chile relleno (stuffed peppers), bean burritos, stuffed eggplant, spaghetti with marinara or alfredo(no chicken or meat of course) ummm... yeah, there's a few that i can think of :) wow i'm just going on and on and on.... hehe, oh yeah, and i'm not vegan, just vegetarian.

i work in a resturant and we are getting a new menu on monday with lots of veggie options on it, Everything we serve is mostly pasta, so once I get tired of the veg options I just order something with out the meat
