Washington DC is currently being hit with a severe winter storm so we won't see any significant rally today, the 4-year anniversary of Jan. 6. There also seems to be a lack of any anti-Trump movement everywhere currently. Have we given up on it? Have we collectively rolled our eyes, thrown our hands in the air and said, "I give up! They re-elected the asshole, America is fucked!"
Or is it that we're waiting for him to take office and fuck things up, and THEN we'll take to the streets? Any thoughts on the matter?

It may be that those who didn't vote for Trump are fed up with the country as a whole.

If America wants a leader that is a convicted felon, sexual molester, bully, etc. for four years...have fun.

    LOL.
It's the only Crumb cartoon I could find that seemed to address the issue.
Lay low and watch the wolves go after each other.
    Hopefully they'll self destruct.

There will be another huge mess to clean up after the current Republican president leaves office...as always.

Yeah, I was going to storm the capitol with my "Harris/Walz Won-Stop the Steal Sign!" but then I realized, nope, I'm one of the good guys.

Perhaps people are starting to realise that protests and rallies don't do anything beyond getting in the news for 3 mins and then forgotten about. Nothing ever changes.

All the climate protests? Those Gaza/Israel protests? The wars keep going and environmental policy doesn't change no matter how many roads or closed or how many old paintings are vandalised.

Hell, even the Capitol Storming didn't change anything, and that was even more extreme. Biden still became President and Trump was still a loser.

I have no problem with people protesting or voicing themselves, it's one's right after all, but it's a futile action and a waste of time. Honestly ask yourself, how many protests have you seen in your lifetime that actually changed your existing stance on a subject? You may support the cause and the people protesting, but there's a good chance you already supported it before action was even taken. Do you think those protests change any other's views? When was the last time you saw your own government go, "Gee, these protesters have a point. Let's make some changes."?

More often than not, they let protesters do their thing and that's the end of it, or they send in the troops with riot shields and gas. But when it's all said and done, did the needle move in any direction? It might get a few more people talking at best, but talking is not meaningful change if policies and decisions remain the same.

Protests can in fact change things, but it takes time. The Vietnam War protests went on for years and change finally took place after older Americans joined the movement which was more easily dismissed when it was made up of just young people. In this case change might not take place until the MAGA crowd realizes it's been duped and they reverse course and come out against Trump. Yeah I know, don't hold your breath.

We cleaned up the last mess made by Trump & Co. and they blamed us for it. When will they ever learn? And when will we?

There's a story of a guy during the Vietnam War who would stand silently outside the White House every evening with a candle. A reporter once asked if he really thought his candlelight vigil would change the world.
"Oh, I don't do this to change the world. I do this to keep the world from changing me."

It did with Stonewall. And Selma. And Vietnam. And Haymarket. And Cabin Creek.

    We shall overcome.

He is not even president yet and already has a 41% approval rating. The idiots who voted for the Lying Felon will not wake up until he guts Social Security and Medicare to give tax cuts to corporations, Oil Compaties, and fund his agenda. Wait until the Tariffs are in place and the price of breakfast cereal from Canada goes up 400%. The lying felon has already bragged that protesters will be shot on his watch.

Anyone that has any pride in themselves at all--will always be an anti-trumper. Some of us just happen to dislike liars, crooked business men, rude bullying , narcissistic pricks like Donald J. Trump. Oh yeah--and the suck-ass motherfuckers that call themselves republicans!!:rage::rage:

My wife just had her hair cut by a Trumper that told her she just bought a car because she was afraid prices would go up with Trump's tariffs.

    Go figure.

No, not at all. I'm looking forward to President Trump making America Great, and the Libs continuing to make asses of themselves.

Trump is talking about using military force to take Greenland and the Panama Canal, economic force to make Canada the 51st state and renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. Perhaps these are all bluffs to get them to make concessions, but if he actually proceeds with these actions then you'll damn sure see some big protests!

    Modus operandi.
Threaten, yell and scream, initiate lawsuits...typical bullying behavior.
