Each to their own.. i admit their musics a bit shoddy when not played live.. but you'd have to see them live before you knock em completely.
I saw them live in 1990 at the Universal amphitheater. Thought it was a mediocre performance but they also weren't headlining and they were better then the Nymphs. Pretty sure they were also lip-syncing the music, at least it looked like it. I'm sure they probably have a better show now.
i saw them play in vancouver, queens of the stoneage was opening and way better but nin was pretty rad
i hate you all nin is amazing i am such a industrial girl i fucking love industrial although there are other bands then nin that are industrial i still hate you all except for the op who said they liked nin
where i come from the're generally called spikes, and tend to be inanimate objects used to pound heavy crude fraiming togather with. such as dunnage to keep heavy loads from shifting on nailable floor freightcars. actually i have heard of a band by that name. but i still think of nails as something to nail things togather with, by beating them on the head with a hammer. =^^= .../\...
I saw NIN at the Fragility tour in Springfield, MA. It was totally awesome I've never been to a show like that. I just wish I could afford to go to the tour coming up here next month! Trent Reznor is AMAZING!
I love NIN. I followed their tour in the USA for a few months. I was at the concert when they shot the DVD "Beside you in Time" trent reznor is a fucking genius!
Trent Reznor = Pretty much every pathetic gothic kid in Pennsylvania I grew up with, just with more money. Closer is a good song, would be beautiful without the lyrics. Everything else is just sad.
Haha  I had an English teacher that grew up with Trent actually. She said he was always picked on in school and had no friends and was shy the entire high school years. But what do you expect, really?
Um, well, cashing in on teenage depression and drug abuse, mixed with black clothes and fake music, ok I guess that can be called good! XD
