What are your plans? Anyone doing anything special? I'll be doing the same thing I do every year. Staying home munching on snacks and waiting it out. I think the kids are coming over as well. Nothing big.

club.. celebrating my bday probably more than the new year coming.. though I'm always excited about that - it's my favorite holiday. not-religious, not political, just.. oh it's the first day of a new year, a new start in so many people's heads. we could "start over" any day but.. I don't know why it works for me.

I dunno. I've been invited to 2 parties but I don't care much about parties, or New Year's Eve, so I might as well stay home.

There is something about it being the start to a new year to make one think about fresh starts.

Sit around, jerk off...a usual non-work day.

I'm not sure yet...I might have to work, which would suck because I'd be working until 2.

If not, I'll be hanging out with Brad, my brother and his girlfriend, probably at some dudes house. We don't really make plans ahead of time so anything could happen.

My fiance and I are going to this amazing Thai restaurant for dinner. Some of our friends are also having a big party at their place so I think we're going there afterwards.

I might call my buddy and go see the fireworks at the waterfront. Like Penny, New Year's is the only holiday I actually enjoy. So I should take advantage of it! :)

Edit: It's also my other friend's birthday. I almost forgot! So...clash of interests.

Sometimes I think you're the only person here who actually works.

yeah, i get that impression a lot.

well it would be technically possible to just not go, but then we would be closed on a traditionally busy day and i would be subsequently unemployed.

even if i could get away with it, skipping work is just not something i do. i'm a dork like that.
