So I got me a 300Gig hard drive the other day. It basically kicks ass, and I just thought I would share that with you all.

It is a serial ata drive, and since my motherboard only has IDE ports, I had to spend $40.00 to get a serial PCI card, anyway, it was well worth it. The drive is very fast, and with 300Gigs, I don't think I will be running out of space any time soon.

I was hoping for a Western Digital, but I couldn't find a 300 Gig, and their 250 was IDE. So I got a Maxtor. I have heard bad things about Maxtor, but I have had good luck with 3 of them so far. (my first comp, my wife's, and my mother-in-law.)

    I got it for $189.99

Damn good deal. A Little over $.50 a gig.
