Lately I have been smoking alot more within my house/bedroom, and odor has become a building problem. I have been using several of the drier sheet tube creations, and have found them to leave a strange smell left in the air, and don't seem to completely neutralize all smells. Upon thinking about it, I have decided to attempt to create a small carbon filter, or carbon scrubber, as is seen on http://www.overgrow.com/growfaq/1509.

Anyone heard of this.. or tried this befor? If not i'll start construction in a few days.

Wow, thanks for the link. My friend had been taking credit for that idea for ages, and we always use it when his parents are home. It works great bro, smoking will be completly carefree after this build. Definantly worth the investment, it will save your ass!

Thanks alot man, how big is your friends? I was thinking of making a carbon filter out of something as thin as a papertowel cardboard roll.

Ive used homemade carbon scrubbers to filter out air coming from my glowering room. And they are absolutely great. They are pretty inexpensive to make, work for along ass time, and get rid of all the smells. I didnt click the link but I think your talking about the one where he puts a fan in front of it. It does work well, but you HAVE to know what your doing to build one.

How is that absurd? I can make a screen tube small enough, fit it inside the other one, wrap it in some wool of some form(Maybe even drier sheets) Then fill in the gap with the odor control carbon stuff... Why wouldn't this work?

I would suggest bulding or buying a high quality, air convection type vaporizer.

Because activated carbon is only effective in bigger amounts than a couple of ounces. Your wasting your time building an air scrubber, when you could install a couple of extraction fans.

I am most certainly posative that an exhaled breath past and through an ounce or two of carbon will neutralize the smell coming through. While however, a small carbon filter of this size, will not de-smell a room, it will however neutralize my exhaled breath
