Whenever I'm on a date with Lucy I want to be able to have long, constant CEVs but always find it difficult to concentrate or to let myself go. For example, I'll be lying down or sitting back with my eyes shut in a dark room with some of my favourite tripping music playing and I'm on the verge of going off into space and start to see patterns forming on my eyelids through each beautiful note, then all of a sudden my mind wanders off to some random thought and I lose it. Also even that example rarely happens now and to begin CEVs I press onto my eyeballs as that starts to bring up patterns but again I can never hold onto it. Now I know the combination of my eagerness and doubt isn't helping me but does anyone have any advice or techniques I could use. By the way I usually get hold of good strength blotter and take 3-4 hits off the bat, then another 2-3 after a couple hours.
You're wasting the 2 or 3 hits you dose later. Lsd doesn't work like that and 3 hours after you've taken a substantial dose, the refractory period has already begun and you won't feel the full effects of those doses. People need to eat their dose all at once at the start of the trip to feel the full effects of all the LSD.
^^^agreed. if you want stronger visuals, maybe you should eat 5-7 hits all at once. i've never eaten more than 4 though, so i can't recommend it based on experience the best CEVs i've gotten from LSD was at a festival, my gf wanted to go to bed (or sleeping bag) and i was still tripping pretty good. but i went in the tent and layed down and closed my eyes. music was still going strong. and i just focused on what i saw behind my eyes. pretty much what you said you do, so i guess i have no good advice. don't press on your eyeballs maybe. just let it come naturally.
For the best Closed Eyed Visuals, I've found that locking yourself (well not "locking") in a dark place like a closet, where it will be dark will increase your CVEs. If there's nothing to smell, taste, feel, in this place, it will be incredible. I'd suggest both trying it with and without music, music will be really strong Then there comes a point where you can create your own visuals which is really amazing. I agree that you have to somewhat focus, and for me, that is easier on the come down, but I never really tried this at any other point in the trip. I got wicked CVEs of things I only wish I could replicate with paint or any other medium. Then walking out is just amazing, I've found light change is the biggest trippy effect, so after being accustom to the dark, walking into the light is ... ahh! And yeah, there is a tolerance effect after you drop the acid, it's all in, or nothing. Any add-ons is a waste, so unless you have "an unlimited" supply, I wouldn't redose after you have already dropped.
Close your eyes, press your thumbs to your eyeballs firmly and keep them there for a minute... see all sorts of stuff. There's so much more to lucy than cevs....
Try sitting up and crossing your legs like a lotus position and let it come over you. I find with LSD diffused sunlight can sometimes be better than complete darkness with CEV's. So like having all the lights off in the room but maybe still a little bit of light is entering through some windows with shades on them.
take some mushrooms with your hits. easiest answer. other answers, look at trippy stuff, think of trippy stuff, isolation tank (google), filters like night vision goggles or sunglasses. personal suggestions. Lower your tolerance, mix visually tweaking drugs, stop pushing on your eyes (you'll ONLY have CEVs if you ruin your sight), take interest in something other than your vision. it seems like youre trying to get a pretty lights fix
Yeah, you're trying to force it to happen too much. Every time I trip it seems like I learn how to just let things happen. I don't sit there and try to make visuals appear. I let the chemical do the driving and it produces a far more profound experience than the previous one everytime. It's all about surrender with me, surrender and respect the substance and it will show you love in return.
Don't get me wrong I do respect it and have amazing experiences every time I do it, I just want to have these super fantastic CEVs that internet trip reports and my friends always describe. Next time I'm with Lucy I'm gonna make sure not to contrive my trip. Thanks guys.
This is the type of experience I had on my last high dose trip. I usually have really great cev's but when I tried going into a completely dark room I started to have the same kind of visuals with my eyes open. That was a wonderful thing. I also started to be able to control my cev's on the comedown which is now one of my favorite things to do on acid. I'm fighting with my own self control to wait another week before my next high dose trip, only because i want to have a solid month between trips to ensure theres no tolerance problem and because it'll be after finals and itll just feel better if i have no upcoming responsibilities to worry about.
^^haha I'm in that exact same boat. Only 2 and a half more weeks! If you do try the closet thing, I'd try both eyes open and closed, if your doing it correctly, there won't even be a difference in lighting (well darkness...), eyes opened I had more tracer like visuals that were like blue pencil lines that I could make drawings of. Closed eyes, was like a trippy world that was so high definition. One place I saw was this rocky shore with a lighthouse, but it was trippy in its perspective. I so wish I could replicate it.. it was incredible! and as it was said in this thread, I actually remember some of my CVEs were really great after I walked out of the closet, turned off the lights, and pretended to fall asleep. I've also found, the more calm you are, the easier it is to focus on them, like focus on the visuals, not your thoughts as much. And having music on moved them.
First of all, LSD is not like that. Every psychedelic I've ever done is not like that. That's part of what makes the trippy so trippy. One moment I'm in some demonic history class having to learn about the holocaust on DOB, and the next moment I feel silly, I counted 7 copies of the line I was drawing in my notes a second before and now everything's totally normal. And then it hits twice as hard again. They come in waves, which is not a bad thing. Learn to flow with it. Also, your LSD is NOT strong, or even normal, if on 3 hits you're having a hard time with CEV's. I mean, maybe normal crappy american WoW stuff, but..... not strong. Do you find it to be mostly worn off by 6-8 hours? I believe penciled WoW that does this is another lysergemide, a weaker shorter one....
I think you are trying way too hard to see shit. CEV's should hit and surprise you when you close your eyes for a moment. If you're trying to see them it's like trying to see anything else, it won't happen. Your whole trip is being wasted trying to see shit, STOP it and just trip. You might trip a LOT harder if you didn't TRY to trip. And if you didn't equate tripping with seeing things. Some people see almost nothing, they can benefit just as much from LSD. The visuals can be an important part but if you're concentrating on them, not only are they unimportant, you'll ruin your fucking trip over it. And before you go "my trip's not ruined", I didn't mean a "bad" trip.... just a fucking waste of LSD.
Not going to lie, I have never experienced intense CEV's ever. I have once seen a cat in my head, but that's nothing intense. I get most intense visuals by staring at something white with slight texture, like heavy paper or white fabric, something like that. I get visuals everywhere when I'm tripping, I can never hold my eyes shut long enough until the comedown to experience anything really intense and there is no intensity on the comedown. Basically when I am closing my eyes tripping, I see a kind of outline of what I was seeing a second ago with my eyes open, except for it is only the fractalized distortions and not the actual object. Cool, but not cooler than exploring with my eyes open. I find the cool thing about acid is it makes you see things kind of from a kids perspective, everything is new, I like that aspect more than I would even like CEV's even if I did see them intensely.
roorshack, i don't find that it's a waste of a trip to spend a portion of it lying down with eyes closed listening to music. in fact, i do that on most of my trips.
^^^ Some of the best space to explore is inner space. In fact, some would argue that's the only space that exists.
Oh no, that's not a waste at all. But it is if you're worrying about how much you're tripping, or even considering that sort of thing. It's like smoking weed and spending the whole time wondering if you're at X level of stoned-ness. Or taking opiates and spending the whole time trying to nod.... it will never happen. It happens when you leave it be. I listen to music in the dark while tripping because I like listening to music in the dark. The various sensory effects vary, and I enjoy them. If I didn't take a ten strip, I don't spend the whole time wishing I had the visuals from a ten strip. That is a complete and utter waste of LSD.
