Hey I live in Omaha too. Go hang out in the Old Market, or Memorial Park I dont know how old you are so you might not like Memorial Park.
I lived in Omaha for a few years back in the early-middle 90's. I really liked it there. I lived up around 22nd and Harney St. I used to work in the Old Market at a Cajun restaraunt called Butsy Le Doux's. The band I was in played at places like Howard St. Tavern, 3 Cheers, Ranch Bowl, ect...... If you are old enough and the place is still around, there was a bar above the Howard St. Tavern called The White Rabbit. It was a kick ass bar and I met alot of really great people there. Another good spot in The Old market is Mr.Toad's. Omaha is one of my favorite towns. The peolpe are friendly and there are bars everywhere you turn. My favorite was the Dubliner Pub. The owner was a massive drunk and never cut anyone off when they were too drunk.
