Hey I have a four month subsrcription to napster, and I have a huge library. How can I export those files onto itunes or something. It says that it wont let me convert them because there protected? Anyone have an idea?
i think, the way napster works is that you can listen to the music all you want, on your own computer, through their service. can't burn to cds, convert, any of that. and, soon as you quit paying them, you don't get to listen to the music anymore. i could be wrong, but i seem to have that idea for some reason.
That is really messed up if it won't let you convert it over. Esp. when their commercials and ads say that you can fill up an ipod or mp3 player for a flat $15 a month rather than pay per song like with itunes. If it won't let you do that I would be pissed too.
I use both "Bearshare"(Spyware laden) and the original "Kazaa-Lite". Haven't PAID for music or software in YEARS!
wow, id email napster and ask them how to put it on your mp3 player. if they say you cant do it then you can sue them for false advertising.
SHIT. Man thats so depressing considering Napster were basically the first people to pirate music on such a big scale. ANd your right, I looked on their adverts and it says : Fill an Mp3 player with all your music!!!* *with a compatible player purchased from napster.com *To burn cd's an aditional 5.00 This is bullshit. How can i pirate it? Man I miss the days of Scouer. Theo
I like Ares for my music finding needs. http://www.aresgalaxy.org/download.html or gnucleus http://www.gnucleus.com/Gnucleus/
I use Kazaa Lite and Limewire Pro for P2P, then I use Espew and TazBoards on the web (though I believe Trilogy forums may also have what you need.)
true, definitly would have, but our server...uhh...died. webmaster dude kinda left us all out in the dark. 404...how i've missed ye. http://www.fearweb.net/
I doubt that I'll ever pay for anything from the net again. Here's what I use to get my stuff. DC++: a little harder to learn, but beginner tutorials are readily available and can be found easily with google. Excellent for getting full albums. You should have at least a couple of gigs worth of stuff to share if you're going to use this though Ares: Very easy to use and pretty good for finding just about anything. Excellent speeds as well Limewire Pro: Pretty similar to Ares as far as speed and files that you will find Bittorrent (Azereus Client): One of the best bittorrent clients around. If you're not familiar with bittorrent or torrents you'll need to read up on it. Torrentspy.com is a good place to find torrents. You can find many others with google Forums: wareznet.net and appzpla.net are the main two forums that I go to. If you register at wareznet you'll need to get an e-mail address you don't use for the registration process. They have you sign up to get some type of porno sent to you. That is how they stay around though because that's their sponsor. It's definately worth it though because it's one of if not the best warez forums around. I also go to the Trilogy Group Forums but like Trotsky above me said, they are down at the moment and we really don't have a clue as to when they will be back up :-( All of the above mentioned programs can be had for free, and you can use them to download all the free music, programs, movies, documents, pictures, and anything else that you want. Of course those programs are just the ones that I prefer. There are plenty out there. If you want to learn more about p2p/file sharing I suggest you check out the zeropaid forums http://zeropaid.com There really isn't any need for you to pay Napster. The copy protection is bullshit. If you're going to pay for the music you should at least be able to do what you want with it.
i think napster's deal is that you're 'renting' the music basically. whereas itunes, i think you're actually buying it, like a one song cd. i could be wrong. [hell, ain't like i use them......information was meant to be free!]
Yo here is your answer, but I could not get it to work myself, though it might work for you http://hansmast.com/index.php?title=marv_on_record_convert_napster_faster&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1
