I'm changing my name. Probably in January with my christmas money. I never really liked it. I'm thinking about Sky, because having Y be a vowel in my name would be awesome.

I'm excited!

why not just go by another name instead of changing it?
or learn to love your name for what it is. honestly i think "sky" is too trendy n hippy sounding but if you like it and wanna do it... go for it.

but for me... i would just create a nickname instead and have people call me that.

PLUS... i would kinda feel disrespectful to my mom if i legally changed my name... you know?

i ask because when i was younger i wanted to change my name legally but i came to that conclusion. funny thing is i ended up learning to love or at least tolerate my name.

 

I kinda hate the name Amanda, too. I'm obligated to, though, because it's my real name as well, lol.

 

The girl I became the guardian of 4 1/2 years ago is named Amanda Lynne. Sounds like "a mandolin". I like it it's musical.

if I ever have a child, I'd like to name them something that suits them.

thus the short list strategy, have 5 names, upon birth eliminate the ones that don't fit the progeny, should more than one fit, select the one that you think will get the kids ass kicked less.

 

I already changed my name to Marc. My real name is Big Dick McGee.

 

ehh i just got a black kitten. the guy who gave her to us called her voodoo. i thought that was trite as hell, so i renamed her simone. it suits her.

I'm a horrible Amanda. I've spent 23 years trying to live with it. I never do anything for myself. Besides, Sky was a joke, lol. I'm thinking about Anne, or maybe Violet. I mean, I kind of want to be Anathema. It'd be cool to be the bane of somethings existance, but I'm trying not to be too over the top lol.

 

Oooh...I like Violet. Amanda is also a nice name though.


I wouldnt ever consider changing my name. Its not much of a name but I like it.
