A libertarian candidate for president recently said socialists think you owe them and are willing to use government force to take it. I replied, no forclosures for back taxes, turning off your water if you don't pay your bills, giving you and a rich person a $1000 fine and making someone pay a fee for some public service that they need and tax dollars partly fund already is that. Taxes are what keep streets paved. So you can take your girl friend to an expensive bistro, for example.
People pay into Social Security, which helps fund the government by backing US Bonds. So yes, the Government owes that and for the Medicare they pay to the government, even after retirement, so they expect good health care, which is a human right, even for immigrants. Immigrants, even "illegal" ones, pay into the system just like everyone else if they work. And the illegals never get Social Security no matter how much they pay in all their lives.
