My hair needs to grow a lil' bit for me to achieve the look I REALLY want. This is okay for now. Still not sure. (darn insecurities)
Thank you. I'm still not sure. My hair looked awesome last night. She used certain things I don't have that I have to go get this weekend. Like hair paste and a curling iron. I use a brush but it didn't cut it this morning. What do you look like now and what type of look do you want to achieve?
Aww, you look great Peanuts! I don't have the kahoonas to go for a make-over. Basically, because I know they'll want to chop my hair off, and to be quite honest, I don't care if I don't have an "in" do or not. I've just got the classic, long hair, no special effects besides some mild layering. I wouldn't mind some caramel colored highlights though, except they're so costly to keep up, at least, where I want to get them done at. They start at $80.00, but with my hair length, they said it would be more. Um, that's a bit steep. I tried home hightlighting before, and I wasn't pleased with the results. I've seen some new highlighting kits lately, but I'm still skeptical. I want a natural look, and I'm worried that it will look fake, KWIM? Anyway...
I wish my kahoonas didn't speak so loudly to me at times. I've had many hair styles that I have just came home and cried because they were nothing like I expected. This one is borderline. It's rediculous what it costs to have hair colored and cut. I paid $102.00 when I was done. (that includes a $10.00 tip oh and I bought two hair products) If I lived closer I'd help you try and achieve the look you want without having to pay the big bucks. Do you have any pictures of yourself to post? I'd love to see what you look like.
Yeah, getting your hair professionally done costs a mint sometimes. My last hair cut was last week, and I did it myself. I just trimmed my ends off, that's all, nothing fancy, they just needed done. The last time I had a professional hair cut was about a year and a half ago. But, I had my hair styled in an up-do for a dinner ball that I went to with my husband back in February, and I loved it. They put silver glitter in my hair to match the silver glitter in my outfit. It was sure a lot of fun getting all dolled-up and having my hair done, but I rarely ever do it because I hate to spend the money. Yeah, I'd love to have my hair done without spending big bucks. My mother-in-law offered to do mine if I did hers, but I'm afraid I'll screw her hair up or something. *laughs* And she'd definitely let me know if I did! Plus, she was talking about doing the cap on my hair, and I told her my hair is too long to pull through the cap and it wuld be a major project for her. But she insists otherwise. She'll debate you until the cows come home. *laughs* I had the cap done before, and it hurt like hell, and it turned out nasty. I want the foil, or just painted on highlights. My MIL said she could use kitchen aluminum foil and do it, and I looked at her like she was nuts. Is that really what they use, or is it a different type of foil? I always figured it was different, but maybe it isn't? I do have some pictures, I've just got to find them. In fact, I was just looking on my computer yesterday for one I could post, and I don't know what the heck my husband did, but they're not on our program anymore. He probably burned them onto a disk. I'll have to remember to ask him about that. {{{HUGS}}}
