And Arlia, I used to sit and stare for very long periods at my kids when they were sleeping...

Also I noticed alot of people are viewing but not posting and that is cool but in case you were wondering about my work....ITS FOR SALE!!!!
On ebay just use search word...DWAG...lol

Help feed a starving artist!!! Don't wait till I'm dead to think its worth anything...

Oh thats wonderful, when I sold my first one I had a big grin on my face all day and I even started crying...

I sell about 2 out of every 3 paintings and work I put on EBAY. I get surprised at what sells and what doesn't.

My best advice about ebay is to go and look at the art auctions, study the things that are selling and see where you fit in.
Also buy a few small things, books, earrings, inexpensive things so you can build up your feed back a bit and establish yourself as trustworthy before you start to sell, alot of people won't buy from someone who has 0 feedback.
If you need anymore ideas on it, PM me and I will help you.

I love your new style, its great. So different from the kitties. Its quite like my old art teachers work. Ive always loved collage mediums. Have you tried using latex and printing on it? i think it would be really effective in your work like this. :)

    Thanks Fleassy,
what do you mean about printing on Latex???
I have a few techniques I'm trying out right now...like on this one and on EVIL WILLIAM I had magazine cut outs then I laid packing tape over the cutouts then soaked them in water and peeled off the backing...it leaves the ink on the tape and you can see through it.
And right now while I type I'm waiting for some gesso to dry then I will paint my background color, glue down my images, seal them with gloss, then rub petroleum jelly where I want it to avoid my second color of paint, paint it all, let it dry then peel off the paint where the jelly wouldn't let it stick.

Tell me more about what your saying...please...

Well the technique you use for the magazine ones is very similar to the latex printing. Liquid laxtex is a wikkid stuff. Basically the way we did it was powder a table with something to prevent sticking (i think it was talkum powder but you'd best read that up) then pour the liquid laxtex across this surface, leave it over night then once its dry peel it off very softly and you have a sheet of latex. The use a photocopy (or a print from newspaper i guess would work) lay it face down on the latex and dab it with ascotone this transfers the image onto the latex (ascotone works with all kinds of thing for transfering a photocoppied image) You can also use inks and paint onto the latex too... i'll scan on a picture of my tester i did (the quality wasnt too good as we were limited to how much ascetone we could use as we were running out)

As far as selling paintings go i've sonld two paintings.. one to a girl at uni for £20 ... i didnt want to charge her but she insisted. then another to someone overseas who saw my art and requested a painting... again i only charged them £20 and that was to cover the canvas and the postage. i'm currently waiting them to pay me. i never think my works good enough to charge any more than the how much it cost to make.

OH sweetie thank you...I will try that tomorrow. I have everything I need even a big bottle of acetone.
I will muck around with this and show you what I come up with.

And I think your stuff is worth alot more, but thats how I usually work it too, I list it for my material cost then pay myself about 10.00 per hour so my stuff is usually around 10.00 all together unless its a large piece then usually 25.00 to 50.00 if it goes for more so be it.
But I give alot of stuff away too when the mood strikes or if something is laying around and someone likes it. the little girl in my sig I sent to lucy in the sky and inbloom, Lucy(Alex) loved it so she now has it...
