This is my cat Harry. Hes nearly 3 years old. Hes part rag doll and part persian and he is not neutered. Hes also a bit of a baby/mommas boy/whiner. I don't have any other cats at this time. He cries alot to go outside but I think he goes outside more to go on adventures than to get laid.

I'd really like to get another cat but most cats don't get along with him and pick on him. Do you think I should adopt the same kind of cat as him and see if that works? Or do you think he isn't lonely at all? I worry about him becoming lonely, being the only pet and all... He is swamped with human affection but sometimes I wonder if it's enough.

There is a good chance that he doesn't get on with other cats because he's not neutered.

I firmly believe all animals cherish the company of another of their own kind and without it are missing out on much in their lives which I suppose you could equate with loneliness.

I think you will find it is not so much about the breed of your second cat, but their temperament, since there has to be an adoptable cat out there in the world who will get along with your Harry. I agree with "Sarahei", in that it would probably be wise to have him neutered too.

By the way, I have to say Harry is a very cool looking cat!

Your puss is named Harry? How ironic!

I want to get my dog a friend. But we have no room :(
