Just because the Quran does not specifically state that marijuana is sinful, does not mean that there is a loop hole around it.
Although I see no problem with any drug use and in fact support it, dont make the mistake that the word Khamr (to cover) does not include any and all recreational drugs. Anything which clouds the mind or in any way alters the chemistry of the brain so that it is not sober or drunk with love for Allah is prohibited if you aspire to be a traditional Muslim and go exactly 'by the book'.
