since last summer, i have used salvia multiple times, and made my own extractions. I estimate that i have tripped on it at about 8-10 different occasions, with varying results.my last use was probably about 2 months ago, and i was left with about 2/3-3/4 of a hit of 22X that i kept putting off since i wasnt sure i felt 'ready" for it, and i also knew i would not be getting more again. (i had my time with it, and moved on to something a bit less "controlling"). yesterday night, i smoked a bowl of marijuana to get a buzz going, then loaded the salvia. I inhaled the entire hit for about 10 seconds, then coughed it out. sitting back, i could feel a slight pulsing and the "approach" of CEVs, but there was no actual salvia trip to speak of. no hallucinations, no laughter, just an incredible buzz.after about a minute, i decided nothing was gonna happen, and proceeded back to the main room. I then decided to give my remaining [bunk] 5-meo-dmt a shot, and went back to the washroom (my smoking zone) and placed ~15mg into the pipe with some weed.at about this point i realised that the salvia WAS having an effect. I have never used cocaine, but i could probably make some connections with the effects of the salvia last night. The usual "push" of salvia to get up and 'do something" specific was replaced by a controllable urge to do anything, and this feeling of control over it was quite wonderful feeling. music had a more exhilerating beat to move to, and i felt like a super-magnified weed euphoria. Expecting nothing, i smoked the dmt. sure enogh, i got nothing but what may be described as "minimal effect". after the hit, my hands became slightly unsteady, my heart rate increased, and a slight 'pressure seemed to be felt on my lobes. This lasted maybe 20 seconds. I decided to try again with most of the remaining powder (~30mg). this did absolutely nothing but increase my hearts 'pounding" and feel to coat my throat somewhat painfully. I decided that was enough and went for a drink. the effects of the salvia continued for several more minutes, then retreated back to a typical marijuana high, which i continued to improve for the night. This was a wonderful way to say goodbye to salvia, and was a fond farewell. It was likely one of my most enjoyable, though not-at-all psychedelic, experiences with salvia.
salvia was a great drug, and i had good uses of it. however, it was not my drug of choice due to the fact that it can be very intense, and i found no spiritual/logical meaning in my use. plus, i found that at times, the "afterglow" was like bein stoned, but lacked the fun of such. I much prefer a "classic" psychedelic which will allow me to understand/enjoy/interpret the experience over a longer period of time. in all my uses of salvia, there has only ever been one moment that caused me to reflect (pointlessly) on the trip. It was at one point where for about a second or so, a little bit at the back of my mind thought there was a small girl in my kitchen. when m eyes focused, it was just a distortion of stuff behind.
