it's a machine that strips women and men of undesired parts and replaces them with new desired one which choices are imputed on a computer. the eyes represent the media watching and having influence over america and the way we run our lives. the tv states "perfection is key" to enhance the knowledge of a need to fit a stereotype. I believe this machine shows the untuned functions of American society and we contribute to the unflattering images of ourselves.
i really like this.. i'm surprised nobody's commented on this yet.... oh wait, maybe not that surprised... anyway, i love installation pieces! and i love your idea... i think the piece itself has a nice balance and flow and nice colors.... why did you go with earthy tones? (or are they just light from your cam?)
