My dreads

Hey! I'm new to the forum. Just thought I'd start a thread on here so I could exchange photos, stories, advice or just make small talk with other dread heads! I've had my dreads for about 6 or 7 months now. I'll be sure to upload some pics very soon!

Listened to your stuff, cool, hope the band thing works for you dudes ... for 15 years it was all i breathed, ate and sh*t... lol, and it never happened, guess i never had what it took, because for some reason i always landed up with bands that wee going no where ... birds of a feather, hey.

I know what you're saying, Don. I've had to deal with a lot of lazy musicians and dead end bands already. But I don't really intend to go anywhere playing music like that. I just do it because its fun

 

So what do you think of dreads on girls? I've kind of wanted to get them for a while now, and it's either that or just buzz cut my entire head which I know sounds crazy because those are completely different.

 

I know a good sequence in which to try the two options out!

 

you're lobes are absolutely amazing! what gauge are they?
sadly mine are only 5/8s... i've been trying to get them to go up a few times already and they just don't really want to go any higher.

and the dreads look lovely as well, how did you do them up?

OnlyOneRoundHere- You should just try the dreads for a while. Its a fun journey! You have to give them at least 6 months or so though so you can actually decide if you like them. They kinda suck at first.

TheNewLeaf- My plugs are 2 inches. I've been doing it for a long time. I was actually up to 2 1/2 but I decided they were a little too big and I downsized.
My friend did my dreads for me. She had dreads for like 5 years. She just sectioned off my hair and backcombed the shit out of it. Then I put a bunch of beeswax in for the first week or so to make sure they didn't start to fall out too much. Now I just play with them sometimes and let them do what they want.
