Thats right, finaly hit that 6 month mark on my 5th set of dreads. I would post pics but im waiting to hit the year mark, posting pics every month or 3 months gets annoying to me. As a celebration on my 5th month i got my nose pierced with my wife, we got our noses pierced together to celebrate our 1 year of marriage/5 year relationship as well as our dreads birthdays. My daughter has also got a head of dreads starting, she is 4 and never lets us brush or go anywhere near her hair with a brush so ive just been seperating her dreads as they form and man, its soo cute, lol. I had some remark from som fashist prick that what im doing to my daughters hair is wrong, I just shrugged it off, The basterd doesnt have kids of his own so what the hell does he know anyway. Anyway just thought i would post a written update, i havnt been online for a while been a busy d.j. So i was just wondering, any of you out there have a dready child?
Congrats bro! I guess we can only pity people who dont know any better. shrugging it off is the best thing you can do man.
I had a dready child, but she cut them off in a pre-teen rebellion. Nice to see another kootenay kid on here; welcome!
SE: I get rid of them every 4 and a half years to freshen my head up,and cleans out old energy, Its become a tradition of mine, almost like a spiritual ritual, On top of that i love to re-experiance the whole dready growth process, Its such a beautiful journey so why not. The last set was lost sadly because of lice, I had a friend stay at my place, never told me he had lice, next thing you know i was infested. Lifes a voyage, live it up!!
"What's the point in this thread if there aren't any pics? I demand them. " Look at my pics in my bio, thats good enough for now, Im a free spirit and i dont follow demands, I dont find it absolutly necessary to post hundreds of pics of myself because 1.im not full of myself 2.my webcam sux and 3. It shows more progress if i post every 6-8 months then if i post evry 1-3 months and i will add a number 4. Im a busy father who doesnt have the time off day to fuck with a camera and post pics on the net, I will post pics but im waiting for month 8 and waiting for a moment when i dont have a 4 year old hanging off of me,lol. (Oh the joys of fatherhood hahaha)
Can we make "Pics or it didn't happen" a rule? I hope not because those of us who dont have camera's would be screwed, as well as its not everyone that is computer literate and knows how to upload and post pics, I think demanding others to post pics is a bit pushy and rude, as i said all i have is a crap webcam, I dont buy dispossible camera's as they pollute the earth and i dont have the cash to buy a real camera, send me a camera in the mail and i will be glad to post some pics "lol that someone didn't get to rant about waxing ruining dreads" Not sure if that comments directed to me or not, but ive never touched wax
... But the whole point of announcing "yay I'm at whatever stage thread" is that there should be pics.
Who says "There should be pics, Ive found over 20 threads so far that dont have pics as well, whats your point. I thought i would announce because i thought this forum was about dreads, pic or no pic, guess i got this site wrong, like i said mail send me a camera and i will take pics and post, if you take the time to look at my bio you will see my dreads at a few weeks process as well as my previous dreads, so those of you doubting i9m even a dready, look at my bio please, Not everyone wants to post pics on every random website online, freedom of choice folks.
Y so pushy? Im so serious because no where at all in the terms of service does it say i need to post pics, I dont have a camera and people are so goddamn pushy when it comes to pics, why are humans so visual, do you absolutly need to see a pic to be satisfied because if so then thats a big problem, as i said there are people out there who dont own a camera, Thats why im so dang serious, no one seems to be hearing the point : I dont have a camera.
I'm not doubting you have dreads. I've seen them and they look very nice. When people post threads saying "I'm at 6 months" or whatever. Many people (like me) expect pics. The twenty other threads you found probably weren't even to do with dready "Anniversaries". Whatever man, chill.
"When people post threads saying "I'm at 6 months" or whatever. Many people (like me) expect pics." why expect anything, thats the problem with mankind, everyone expects everything, expect the unexpected and you wont be disapointed.
People are only asking because they are curious and enjoy looking at other people's dreads. I'm one of them. I post crappy photos from my webcam cuz it's all I can contribute. But most of the people are meaning to be pushy just cuz they wanna see. I have two kiddos and my oldest (three) did want hair like mommy's for awhile, but now he wants it cut so he can go sit in the truck they have at the hair place he goes too. lol Happy dreading.
