My cell phone still worked after i put it through the wash

I have a motorola V3 razr and i left it in my pants and put it through the wash cycle. I was so pissed and it was not working worth shit. One week later i plug it into the charger to see if it worked and it came on fine and dandy. It would not ever turn on after i washed it! Maybe it dried out but i have heard of people dropping phones in water for just seconds and the phone was fucked for life.
Has this ever happend to you or anyone you know. As far as i know the phones not waterproof.

 

It just dryed, not really mysterious

 

my mom fryed one by droping it in the toilet. We dried to dry it out, even used compressed air to blow the water out, but it was fucked.

 

I've never done this myself.. but I had a friend who dropped her phone in a bucket of water by accident and it never worked again. I don't remember what type of phone it was though, it happened a few years ago.

My sis's phone got put in the wash a couple weeks ago. It's now dried just fine and will come on, but she got a new one anyway.

 

well did your Motorola heaved a flat battery because that's what i heard if your phone drops in to the water first thing to do is take out the battery so there's no short circuit happening no shorts no damage.

 

i knew someone who dropped a phone in a lake, and thought it was fucked. few days later she turned it on and it's fine.

weeeeeeeeird! but i've heard that if you take out the battery immediately, you have a better chance at saving the phone.

lol, the first day i bought my phone, a virgin mobile slice, it went through the washer and dryer, full cycles. when it came out, i turned it on, and it was fine that was 3 years ago, and still no problems
