my brother

    My brother is either having a nervous breakdown or is on the brink of one:( He was supposed to get married in 2002, but I think things became too overwhelming for him. He told my parents the reason they weren't getting married at the time was because of money.

    Last summer I found out that he has a girlfriend even though he is still living with his fiance! How I found out about the girlfriend was through a customer@ work! Imagine my surprise. When I confronted my brother all he had to say was that she was just a cool chick to hang out with!

    So shortly after that his fiance broke down and filled me in on All the details. At the present time he's been with the other girl for over 2 years! He's also been smoking pot daily.. which is very unusual for him. He usually is just a social smoker. About 8 years ago he actually had a nervous breakdown because a mix of drugs he was doing and he just couldn't handle it. It took him about 2 years to even start smokin again, although he eliminated all the other stuff.

    Well everyone in my family pretty much knows somethings up between him and his fiance, but my mom and my other brother know about the other girl. My mom was told the whole story by the fiance because she got in a fight with my brother and things were looking rather ugly! My dad had suspicions,and was finally informed about my bro's behavior lately.

    Also I tried talking to him to see what was going on and he told me that he didn't want to talk about him. After I persisted, he got mad and hung the phone up on me :mad: I cried for an hour, cuz that's just not my bro... it's someone else.

    I don't know what to do for him! I was over his house last night for dinner and he said hello to me and that was it. My mom doesn't know what to do... I talked to her @ work today and she just cried :(

    Has anyone had experience with something similar? My bro is 28 and when this happened before he called my parents cuz he knew he couldn't help himself. Now it seems like he's way past the point of asking for help. Also when it happened before, my parents admitted him to the psych ward at the hospital.

    Any input would be EXTREMELY APPRECIATED!
