One time I got high with some friends. We were listening to psychedelic music while watching a movie. While we were watching the movie the music was in sync with the scenes! I mean scene changes were accompanied by pauses or changes of song, and each change led to a tone that matched the overall feel of the scenes in the movie. This experience has occurred for me pretty consistently since that first time a few years ago, maybe I just notice it now. The implications of this are mindboggling; we're talking about time constriction/dilation and rhythm communication between sources. Has anyone else noticed this effect?
People have been saying for decades that The Wizard of Oz and Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album are in synch. I haven't tried. I'm not sure if you're supposed to start at the credits or the actual movie.
i knew that was gonna come up quickly. you are supposed to start the music after the three roars of the lion (the opening thing for all MGM movies). but i didn't think it matched up ALL that well. i wasn't tripping either though. try watching cartoons muted with rap music on. it's hilarious. i did it high on cannabis, never tripping. music is good enough on its own when tripping it syncs up with ME, not just the tv
Here is the beginning of it, some parts sync really well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iY59IK2e65Q"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iY59IK2e65Q https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwJdfGogy0I&feature=related"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwJdfGogy0I&feature=related
The wizard of Oz and The Wall thing is nice, but in the end you are still playing two tracks (one visual the other audio) with the intention and knowledge of the potential points of synchronization. While this is cool, it can still be put down to a normal average occurrence. What im talking about I think is much more interesting; two unconnected and unrelated sources of audio/video that, while sober, do not match at all. When you get high (at least with cannabis as far as I know) these tracks synchronize. This phenomenon could only consistently happen if...well I'll let someone else do the speculating
First off, it's Dark Side of the Moon. Second, it's the exact same thing that happened with you, it's just been such a consistently perpetuated myth throughout time that some clever individuals decided to set it up and put it on youtube. Pink Floyd has denied purposefully structuring their album to sync with The Wizard of Oz.
I think "the dark side of oz" is a frighteningly perfect sync. You have to watch not thinking of the story line, but to pretend as if it were some really long weird ass music video. A really weird ass music video. You'll be tripping balls watching it sober! I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for. But look up radiohead kid 17. They have an album "kid a" that if it plays, and then a second source of the album plays exactly 17 seconds later, the entire album(s) will sync perfectly. This works sober to fantastically! Willy wonks probably syncs up with some trippy album, I'd try that with something just to see if you could get some giggles! Haha the old one of course
