Mushrooms Online?

I seem to have come across a site based in the netherlands that offer fresh mushrooms. I read in their disclaimer that they dont have time to check the legal status in every country so they leave responsibility of finding out the legal status to the buyers.

Is this a legal loophole? I suppose the only risk would be customs?

Im probally going to be ordering some as their quite cheap.

It came from someone who claims to have used them here in the UK. I don't know how good US customs are. I'm probably going to order tonight anyway, ill see how it goes.

Let us all know if your attempt is successful. I also live in the US and have wondered if the internet is a viable source or if customs would get it.

 

Won't make it to the US, I can just about guarantee it.
I tried it once.

But I'm wondering if they even sent it, expecting it to get caught in customs. The reason I say this is because I just ordered some cactus seeds from Amsterdam. All that was inside was a letter from the dept. of agriculture saying that I needed some sort of license to import plants. But, I never got anything from the mushroom purchase except a charge on the card.

But I also know some people that didn't get anything.

I damn well hope they send mine. Ill report back if they do.

 

Turns out some guy from the US using the same site didn't receive the goods. But another from the UK has.

What would customs do if a package containing mushrooms turned up?
I think it could be easy to deny and say that you knew nothing about it?

 

I believe it'd be ok since your not in possession of it. I know companies that will send marijuana seeds to the U.S. They usually package it discretly though. Good luck on your choice. You may want to look into growing your own since mushroom spores are not illegal. Try Shroomotopia Forums for some growing info. Spores get shipped in the U.S. all the time legally.

 

Well im from the UK and here since 2005 fresh mushrooms and spores are illegal.

Hopefully my order will come through soon.

Im quite suprised, I was doubting whether they would arive.

Do you recommend eating them fresh? I've heard they taste better. And there Cubensis if you would like to know.

 

I'd keep them fresh unless you are going to save any.

Yeah its hard when there fresh, mushroom juices squirt out lol. Dry them until you there almost no moisure at all. Can you pm me the site man?

 

i dont know, i much prefer fresh ones to dried ones.

i'd say throw them in a grilled sandwich. i did that in amsterdam and it was delicious. in my experience, the come-up happens quicker with fresh shrooms as well.

 

im surprised the whole time i thought it was just a scam. well congrats man.

 

There seems to be a problem with the site checkout not working atm. I'm sure it will be fixed soon, they seemed to of updated it abit.
