wtf? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFxuHynmMmU&NR=1 ....every now and then the world still suprises me. how strange it is.
I liked it. Not the best acting, but it was scary and fucked up, and even funny. If you mean it puts mushrooms into a bad spotlight because of the story and the ending (i will not spoil) then its not the first time media shows its ignorance and blows shit out of proportion... I recall CSI episode where some girl kills a person because she thought she was dreaming after smoking PCP. If you just think the movie sucks, well then lol there is far worse shit out there, shit that does not cause 'uncontrollable laughter'.
I liked it. It was an independent film so obviously not the world's greatest actors but it's nice to have a movie about drugs that isn't about stoners for a change.
I thought it was fake then found this. It is a real movie. Blair Witch on psychedelics, you've got to be kidding:smilielol5: http://www.shroomsthemovie.com/
woah, i liked the trailer. i think i'll have to watch it. even if it does cast a negative spin on shrooms, at least it presents somewhat of a realistic stance on the subject. I haven't actually seen the movie so i wouldn't know what conclution they come to tho.
i havent seen the film, nor have any desire too. i just found the trailer and thought the whole idea seemed ridiculous. to each his own.
Really bad. I like bad horror movies, but still... really really bad. "I overdosed on the heroin of shrooms!"
I'm not so sure it's propaganda, that was my first thought when I saw it but it's just a horror flick. People have bad trips in real life but this movie took it to the next level, and how can they have a scary ending if she just sobers up and everything is happy again? They couldn't really make a horror movie about mushrooms without going the route they went!
but when she sober's up she realizes all her friends are dead....... and she regrets destroying her friends lives.
SPOILER ALERT ^!!!!!!! And below as well? Haha but I don't know, I try to think of it as an independent writer/director came up with it, not government institutions. She doesn't regret their deaths, she goes crazy by taking drugs she's not well-informed about and without that ending it wouldn't be much of a movie! Not that it was that great but certainly not the worst out there...not sure, I just have a hard time believing it was entirely propaganda. I try not to read too much into things like this but I will definitely agree the REASON it came out as a feature-length film was because the government supported it and otherwise it would have had a harder time getting out to the general population. No doubt if a film has a more pro-drug approach then it would be showed in "limited cities" or a hell of a lot harder to get a hold of!
Watching it now, cannot say I'll like it or appreciate it's stance on shrooms but I am excited to see a movie about DRUUUUUUUUUUGS! Especially drugs that aren't marijuana, less stoner films please? More psychedelic films?
yeah, there really does need to be more physchedelic movies i've only see two. including this one which sucked.
Will, I am not sure just how many psychedelic movie there are, but here a real "Flash Back" LOL http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Trip_%28film%29
i wish i could just spoil the ending, cuz i really wanna argue with the people above. i think it's pretty propagandic. but idk, i'd still wanna see it tho.
wasn't that bad. I've seen worse. Gave me somethin to do for a bit. Stay away from the "black nipple" mushies.kinda looked like they were suppose to be the "willi" mushsies that only grow in northern ga. Dam theres a Backwoods "Deliverance" type movie. one of burt reynolds finest movies.haha actually where they filmed "Deliverance: is only 30 min. from where I live now.haha yah, i'm gonna trip tonite..got a dose of 2c-e.
