You know what I find whimsical... I shall tell you... or reproduce it in a very theatrical descriptive, unelaborate, simply effective way... for all to filter in their minds, and hopefully allow the smallest to stick onto those last remaining braincells. one third of our existance is ... ironically, consciously unexistant.
<<You come back from school, you do this, you do that, you suddenly feel tired, you close your eyes, you might even see things, or hear, or even predict future events, until...

"ahhh, what a beautiful morning... a mighty 10 hours have passed since I remember my last breathe in this reality... or my own presence.">>

But, those moments are meant to be consciously forgotten... When thinkers try to explain those missing hours with theories of astral travels (that can easily be proven, if you actually put an effort to get rid of mental constipation), theories of the subconscious escaping from the body... etc etc... they will be mocked by those who rather live in ignorance of those 1/2.4th moments everyday.

Imagine the concept of something existing everywhere around you, you are uncapable to see it, sometimes you feel it, but you don't know what it is, neither do you really wanna know... but this thing affects you, as a whole person, everyday... without realizing it... yet its existance is as present as you are.
(or for the more imaginative; suddenly extraterrestrial lifeforms comedown from somewhere in the universe and start walking around infront of your house...)

Once you realize, or for the imaginative, once you see... will you keep reading those books you started reading last week? will you go to school tomorrow to finish off a mathematic problem that's been stressing you for the past few days?... will you talk to your family the same way you do?...
No you will not... yet those things happen all the time... (maybe not to the extraterrestrial level)... we just consciously refuse to readapt our notion of "reality" or our stable perceptions we've learned to live with. We rather live, to the sacrifice of letting things in the unkwnown, even though they really aren't... they are unkwown for the simple fact that our perceptions won't allow something this dramatic to have a place in our existance, we don't wanna go through a drastic change like this, to have a bigbang occur in our brains affecting our notions of reality, leading us to a new Age of Darwin or evolution...

Think of it by appllying the universal law of Chemistry, There has to be balance for there to be life... There has to be an unknown to contradict what we perceive. If there wasn't an unknown, we wouldn't be here... for that is our quest, the unknown... we invent theories and bigger machines every year to understand it, in a few more years, they'll be humongous for all of us to see, but we already know what we wanna know, yes... we know everything... we just constantly deny it... cause we really, truely, deeply... subconsciously, in such ways we cant control ... don't wanna know...

This constant denial of the unkwnown is the reason you're sitting infront of your computer right now.
    Isn't it? ...

I agree with Kyle, Phil freakin' rocks.

You know kid, your one of the very few 'thinkers' on this forum, and that's why I enjoy reading your posts. And for some reason, I always understand exactly what your talking about. You make me feel like I took the highest dose of the most mind blowing substance to ever grace the face of planet earth.

I think I started seeing the world [or all of existance] for what it really is after I started using psychadelics. As bad as that sounds ... I always listened to what I was told when I was younger, and never questioned, never thought for myself. Somehow the act of exxisting has become so much more complex and downright amazing now that I see it with more than my own two mortal eyes. Human beings are complex creatures, were constantly evolving and understanding more and more. I love being alive, and wondering about what's going to happen next. There is sooo much left to discover in this life. :)

    Rock on children.

There has been a period in my life where I was in constant denial that I was awaking to the same life I had left unconscious eight or so hours ago...
