okie dokie i need to find the perfect pet that can live in a cage. we're not allowed to have dogs or cats where we live right now, and i miss having a furry little critter around to pet. which one is the cleanest? smartest? friendliest? least likely to bite?
I once had a hedgehog, and its name was hissy. Was my favorite pet, growing up. It was really cute though, and it never bit me, it was just kind of hard to handle, with the spikes and all.. I liked him, but my mom made me get rid of it after about 2 months, she said he stunk.
that's cool. I want one of the huge ones someday when I have my own place. I had lots of little "foster" pets as a child that my grandfather would rescue on his mail route. Once I had a baby armadillo who was really cute and tiny. He brought home a lot of turtles, and we would keep them for a day or so, then walk way out in the woods and let them go. I had a baby fox, too, for about a week, but someone ran over him.
Ahhh you see I agree. But some animals are made to be pets. For instance an albino snake, it wouldn't last one minute in the wild. Domestic ferrets are also breed to be a pet.
Awww poor little fox...Well my tortoise is about 10 pounds now. He will get to be about 150lbs. He grows so slow though and lives forever. I had some turtles but I had to down size cause they became really big for any tank. And they want to bite all the time. So you have any pets now?
no... we're thinking about getting a dog this weekend. We had one, Sweet Priscilla Anne Pupsley the Wonderdog, but she got hit by a car a little over a year ago. Yesterday was her birthday... I miss her, but it's getting lonley around here.
Dogs are great too. It's just everyone has got one. It's to trendy for me. How comes every pet you get gets run over...poor animals...I feel sorry for you. What kind of dog do you have in mind?
haha... it's kind of a long story... to make it short: She always slept under my mom's car in the driveway on top of the hill, and never went down to the road because it scared her or something, and she was a very good girl. But, during the construction on our house, Mom had to park down by the street one night, and I guess Priscilla thought that it was okay for her to go down there. People drive so fast on our street, and she was black so it was hard to see her.... it was sad. It still feels like it's too soon, but my Mom is ready to move on. I guess since she was my dog, I feel it the most. Everyone else was kind of over it in about a week, but it still makes me cry.
Can you get a bird? I always love to go look at the little birds in the pet store. They're so tiny and squeaky.... awww....
Awwww...that's sad...she sounded like a cute dog...damn those motorists. Are you going to get another dog for real? If so might I advise not letting sleep under the vehicle. Maybe you should go with a great dane. That way it won't be able to sleep under the vehicle, and it will be more visible.
You're the second person tonight who's told me to get a Great Dane! haha... how weird. Are they good with little kids? Because Noah is not quite two, so I'm kind of worried about getting another this soon. We're getting a fence put up soon, so the driveway thing won't be a problem. Priscilla was an awesome dog! I have a pic of her in my gallery somewhere. She was a pretty girl.
well, as much fun as it is to cuddle a little fishy in my lap to pet it, i'll have to say, not right now. i'm really thinking more along the lines of something mammalian and smallish.
