if a plant has been on 18 hours of light on and 6 off grown from seed, about 2 and a half months after germination ak strain is full of white pistles but still maintained under 18n hours of light. I know cloning is best done from a plant that has never flowered because the rejuvination stresses it and makes it not quite as good as the original mother. Does all of these white thistles mean this mother has flowered and should not be used as a mother. I don't understand cause i thought 18 hours kept this from happening

that is the reason I dont keep mothers.I have a plant that I have veged for three months now and it is doing the same thing.there called pre-buds, that means the plant is sexually mature, she is angry with you she wants to complete her lifecycle.and as far as second gen clones not being as good as the mother.i think scientificly the diff. would be barely measureable.

Best to keep a mother on a 21/3 -24/24 schedule as this will eleviate pre flowering. Most indica and indica dom strains will preflower on a 18/6 schedule between 4-6 weeks regardless of the 18/6 schedule.Taking clones off a flowering mother is a no no.

Ive actually never tried that.it might be a good idea for the future.with that light cycle it make sence that the plant would never have a chance to pre flower..and i agree with not taking clones from anything that has pre buds unless you got allot of extra time huh
