I heard a long time ago that there are certain fruits or vegetables or something that you can eat that will naturally repel mosquitos. Does any one know if there is any truth to this, and if so what kinds of foods work for this?

Eating garlic tends to repel mosquito's, so does yeast or food that contains lots of B vitamins.
They also don't like the smell of citrus.
However, a mosquito that has a "choce" between feeding off an animal reeking of garlic and citrus, or starving to death, will choose to feed.

Definitely, man. Almost all insects are repelled by citrus-type odors (that's why citronella is a great, natural bug repellant), so eat lots of oranges & grapefruit. Rub the peels on your arms & face to get the oils. And if you think you can handle it, try cutting meat/dairy out of your diet entirely, and I guarantee in just a few weeks you will notice that bugs don't swarm you. They'll attack your friends instead. :X Like rangerdanger sez, given the choice...

it's not crazy, Goat. Fuckin clean people attract the most bugs. Not just deoderant wearers, but anyone who bathes too much (i.e. more than a couple times a month) that's a fact. yeah, garlic, all the way...what better excuse to eat that except it'll scare away all kinds of sickness as well...
