more shroomsssss

ok like 2 weeks ago i crumbled up one of my cakes i had that was dried up and threw it all around my scorpions tank and i didnt think anything would happen but last week i noticed the mycelium spreading all over the dirt and today i looked in and holy shit theres 5 shrooms that are like 1 inch tall!!!! they look the same as when i grew them off the cakes so you think i can eat em>>????

lol very true but my question is can i eat them? like how would i know if its contaminated or something

 

I'm not sure, I doubt it's contaminated though because the mycelium wasn't contaminated inside the jar so it should be fine. But don't take my word for it.

 

You can see contamination on the mycelium and mushrooms if there is any there. Or you can smell it. If all looks okay and smells okay then the chances of them being ok is about 90%

 

and the other 10%? lol

What do you use for a bedding for the scorpion? If it's coco coir, you basically just gave it a bulk substrate.

 

If they're not discolored, they should be fine.

 

Did you eat them yet?

 

the shrooms only grew like 2 inches then they capped out so in total i only got half a gram (dried). not enough to take a trip however there is more on the way so hopefully after this ill have a full gram lol
