Just saw the MBs under the stars last week or so. This would be the fifth time. I was afraid they wouldn't be real good, or at least as good as I remember, but they were. Let's see they had Justin Hayward, Graemy Edge and uh.....John Lodge in the current line up. Plus another drum set, two organs and a chick on flute. Plus a second dude appeared for two flutes on one song. They played about 2 1/2 hours with no intro band and one intermission. I kept thinking the concert was over and then they'd play some more! Well worth the bucks!
I would love to see them in concert, there gonna be in my area in a couple weeks but the show is already sold out.
wow i didnt even know they were still playing . a few years ago i liked some of their stuff. then i just realized how corny and dated alot of it sounded... and i havent listened to them since.
I Love The Moody Blues Especially Days Of Future Passed. I Saw Them On Pbs A Couple Years Ago, They Sounded Great.
I love espacially their third album, in search of the lost chord, this is a real adventurous record (like every moody lp) and maybe the most psychedelic..."OM" "Ride my see-saw" & "Vision of Paradise" are my favourites ...
Yeah me too, lush, rich and epic, absolutely stunning production. I was listening to an album from 1968 by an Italian band Le Orme today called Ad Gloriam and I was trying to think of a comparison and the nearest thing I could think of was ...Lost Chord albeit with a baroque feel.
Got really into The Moody Blues about 9 or 10 years back. First complete album I heard was Question. I couldnt believe how much I liked it because at the time I was really into heavier rock. I immediately went out and bought it and Threshold of a Dream. I liked Threshold so much that I then purchased In Search of the lost Chord, and so on, and so on. I have to say that currently my favorite album is Our Children's Children's Children followed closely by Question. I saw them live about 4 years ago and I really enjoyed it. They played a lot of their more recent stuff which was a little dissapointing to me because Im not really familiar with much after Seventh Sojourn. Good show none the less.
