I should do a write up on this on my website - thanks for the idea! I have wireless technology and find myself able to use the internet for free all around Australia via wireless network access points. Please bear with me ..... I am on the road but will try and get a write up on this up soon.
Alright, maybe I won't. But I saw something very interesting at a business expo yesterday. All the main phone companies (or most of them) have these hunki dori cards which you can put in your laptop (which should have a slot for them) and they enable you to surf the internet wherever you can get phone coverage. Vodafone was the one I saw, and they charged something like $59 a month .... I think. That is the best option I reckon. Have a look at http://www.australianhotspots.com.au/ as a reference for something
I have recently moved to Sydney and i have UnWired internet (if this is what u mean by mobile??) it is pretty good speed, although not as fast as the plug in the wall connection, but hey u dont need a phone line so its saving me cash, plus can move it anywhere
