In the middle of time I reach back and ask How I got lost in the future so fast Rewinding years till the clock restarts pausing to sidestep a memory too dark caught in a corner upending freefall stuck in a moment that's not me at all replay is rebound by tractable fear where is that one who catches my tear.... It's always been you and it scares me so deep I'm only myself when my heart's at your feet But you, as I find seeming so far away you're right here beside me in time-frozen space. Where once the reflection was blood red and black now you're all I see as I find my way back. Rewind again and in vortex descend to the flashpoint where everything came to an end screaming alone at the gateway to hell losing it all but with no one to tell... Waking to nightmares that pulled me back in saved from that hell by his loving hand A shadow of something much later to come.... fast-forward to you where time's just begun. It's not desperation to walk in the clouds, it's just dispensation for fighting it out. Time moves in circles but I'm on the line that points me to you and the future that's mine Tomorrow is here and the pendulum swings strong In the middle of time Right where I belong. .
Thank you all. I originally wrote this about 10 to 12 years ago and just recently dug it up, and then on the same day I found this poetry section. So I made a couple of tweaks in this and several others that I wrote way back whenever and decided to put some of them up here. This one is actually my favorite. It's dark but there is a good ending.... and 'middle'
