randomly the 'P' has disappeared off the end of my user name?? When did this happen? Or has it been like this all along and I just never noticed. Either way, it's REALLY pissing me off right now.

That sucks. I hate how things like that just mysteriously happen with no explanation and you get all pissed and no one really does anything about it. Like the smileys. Which, to Skip's credit, were mostly fixed, but never completely recovered.

Well, I did notice that some folks who had excessivly long names would have to have that little purple margin thing stretch out into the text part and make it harder to read sometimes. But it didn't bother me that much.

yeah.. i noticed that like 20 mintutes ago looking at another of your posts somewhere else... i remember it used to be hip...

 

i strongly suspect the fingerprints of an ancient filing method.

i remember back in bbs/dos and pre-dos days an alpha field length limit
of 20 charicters. that "p" IS charicter #21!

this was the origen of a handle i once used (also years pre-internet):

i came up with that one cause i wanted something off the wall sounding
that would exactly fit in that twenty charicter limit.

zymph started life as an aspiring satyrical frp fighter charicter
(because i always considered roll play that involved/required
fighter charicters pointless and rather tedius though perhaps
momentarily amusing)

who since morphed and took on certain cat like charicteristics
and green fur

i have no idea of course if this is a perminent afliction
just a suspicion that burried deep in some code somewhere
is some that was origeonaly written back in those bad old
days

removing one of the spaces or shortining jager to j would
of course bring the name under 20.
not very elegant solution.
i hope they give you back your "p"
