Michael Savage - Unbelievable

Michael Savage is the host of the popular right-wing talk show, The Savage Nation. He is currently rated as the third most listened to talk radio host in the world.

I find the man to be absolutely disgusting. He is racist, homophobic, cold hearted, and just down-right evil. As hard as it is to believe, he was actually upset that the U.S. gave the tsunami victims any aid, and he said, "I don't want one nickel of my money going over there." It's simply amazing.

Below are some of his quotes. Be warned: you will be offended.

On America:

• "[The U.S.] is being taken over by the freaks, the cripples, the perverts and the mental defectives." - San Francisco Bay Guardian, September 20, 2000.

On MSNBC which led to his firing:

I dunno what you guys are talking about, this guy is great.

I mean, there are lots of Idiots on the radio, but Idiots like this only come around once in a blue moon.

I think we should elect him to the senate and bet on how long before somebody offs him.

 

Michael Weiner Savage is not even really worth mentioning. I listen to his show sometimes when I'm in the car, for laughs, but I can't see how any fairly intelligent person could take him seriously. He's nothing more than a political shock jock who is as big as he is because of the shit that he says. He WANTS people to be shocked over what he says because that's the only way he maintains a listenership. He certainly has nothing relevent to say about politics, so he bashes anyone who is different from what he thinks people should be.

I really don't think anything he says is offensive, just stupid. Something can't really be offensive if it's rooted in such stupidity and mindlessness. I can't see why anyone would get up in arms over anything he says because he's a joke in himself.

Savage also advocates the imprisonment of Arabs and those who dissent and go against the government. The guy is a typical neocon mouthpiece.

If anyone wants to see what a hypocrite Savage is, just read about his past. The man was part of the counter-cultural movement in the 60's, and even supposedly swam naked with Allen Ginsberg, despite pushing homophobia today.

 

Rat's right, he isn't really worth listening to, or at least getting offended by.
