Metalcore: I hate it

Some styles of music are designed with stupidity in mind. Just like some products are for the stupid, the basic design of some styles -- what makes them different from others -- is stupid. I'm thinking of disco and hip-hop here, but I have to add METALCORE, DEATHCORE and NU-CROSSOVER (it's all the same stuff) to the mix.

its like metal for pussys. agreed if it ends with core it sucks. except early hardcore, like slayer....

 

Most of it is complete shit, but like everything there are a few jewels among the shit. Specifically Through the Eyes of the Dead.

 

I saw Lustmord on that list... I mean, they aren't that great and I damn sure don't listen to it that often but some of it is all right.

Generally.

The only good -cores I can think of are:
the original Hardcore punk
and Nerdcore

modern day "hardcore" (post-hardcore), grindcore, Skacore, Metalcore, etc. etc. all suck.

 

Whats next... Folkcore... doomcore? lol

 

There's some kind of doomcore already, but it's called sludge.

I don't like any '-core' music neither, by the way. But since I never hear it I don't really hate it

Well only metalcore band that i sometimes listen to is Cataract. Others pretty much suck... Oh and sludge is awesome ^^

Metal in its early days was the best and totally agreed on the fact that anything that ends with core is stupid.
