Hey guys, i dont know, ive noticed there arent a lot of hippy's out there into metal music. I am though, and im in a black metal band. But yea i made this so you could post your favorite metal band, if you do have one at all lol. Mine would have to be dimmu borgir.

Cool to hear you play in a black metal band. Does your band have a site? If not, I'm interested in what you sound like. Can you tell me about it? I'm also more or less in a black metal band, I play drums and my brother plays guitar. We record our songs in his bedroom using a microphone for instant messaging voice conversations, which is tiny, and microsoft sound recorder, which stops recording after a minute if you don't quickly press stop and record before it stops. I don't have real drums but use a lousy electronic practise pad which thank the gods DOES have double bass mode. Neither of can really play, and we also improvise everything and don't listen to each other but just play whatever we feel like without knowing of the other what exactly, so all in all it's very kvlt and nekro.
i'm not into the whole growling and screaming kind of music. There are a few bands in that genre that sound pretty cool, but classic metal is for me. oh yeah, my favoriet band is 'Maiden
I'm not into metal, but I like Pantera very very much... Iron Maiden, too. When I was younger I used to like Metallica's older albums. My best friend is in heavy metal band, and I like his music, too.
I like some metal as well. Can't stand rap and new metal, and I'm not very fond of death and thrash metal and grind stuff. I do like black metal, but the modern black metal sound of Dimmu Borgir & Cradle of Filth doesn't appeal to me. I used to listen to power and heavy metal all the time and I still like bands like Iron Maiden, Diamond Head, Rainbow and Saxon and power metal like Rhapsody, Gamma Ray, Freedom Call etc. although I don't listen much to it anymore. Ah, I also like folk metal like Cruachan, Finntroll and Thyrfing.
Metallica, Pantera, Ac/Dc, Slayer, Iron Maiden, The Gathering, Liquid Tension Experiment, Dream Theatre, Death, Nightwish, etc, etc, etc.
Cradle of Filth, Slayer, Metallica, and Children Of Bodom. I think those are metal but i'm not good with that genre stuff...but i like those bands anyway.
I'm not very good at placing bands into genres, but I like following: Iron Maiden, Children of Bodom, Dimmu Borgir, Nightwish, Epica, Metallica, Dream Theater, The Gathering, Herfst, Orphanage, Iced Earth, and as for cello metal Apocalyptica.
\m/ I dig black metal, but I'm not exactly learned on the subject. I'm huge on grindcore and death.. Industrial is my passion. And everybody knows Slayer drives hippies away.
Oh, and my favorite metal bands... Slayer, My Dying Bride, Morbid Angel, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Nargaroth, Death, Mayhem, Dying Fetus, Dillinger Escape Plan, Cephalic Carnage, Napalm Death, Anal ****, etc., etc. So the last few were grindcore.
