i don't know that i like the use of the word "rape" in the description of this forum!! rape is a terrible, physical thing that happens to women (and men!!!) and it shouldn't be made light of in this way!!!!

It can also be used to describe any act or behavior that invokes one party seizing power over, taking advantage of, or humiliating another party. For example, you could say that mankind is raping the the earth. That's one way of looking at our dysfunctional relationship with our environment.

It's kind of like how you can say, "Those shoes suck!" and everyone knows you don't literally mean the shoes are performing fellatio.
