you could try gorrilla glue or something, in middle school i glued a table to the ground with that shit and it was STUCK, like there was no movin that thing.

how hot does the piece get? i never smoked outta wood so i dont know. if that area where it is broken gets really hot, to the point where you cant touch it, i wouldnt glue it. the heat could cause the glue to burn, or release chemicals within the glue, and inhaling them is most certainly no good. however, i wouldnt think your piece would be that hot, so you could try just spreading some gorilla glue on the outside of it, maybe pinching it together with a C-clamp over night to let it get a good hold and dry. use a very, very small amount.

or i guess you could try some epoxy putty. it basically works like body filler that you use on vehicles when they get into an accident to straighten them. you get a tube of epoxy putty, and there will be the putty, and a different colored putty inside when you open it, its usually a whitish color. the white putty is usually the hardener. the hardener is just that, you mix it with the putty and apply it to something, let it sit for a while, and it dry and become rock solid and extremely durable, almost the strength of steel. all you do is rip of a little of each type of putty and mold them together with your hands, until the color of the two putties is blended into one. then apply it on the pipe by gently molding it around the bowl and stem (make sure its airtight), and leave it sit for a couple hours. when it dries it will be good as new, only ugly as fuck. this shit works great though, ive used it on everything from rusted out exhaust pipes, to leaky holes in basements. you can pick up some at your local hardware store, or home depot.

again, DONT do this if your bowl usually gets really hot at the part where its broken.

really, i would just shell out the cash for a glass bowl and take care of it so it doesnt break, but thats just me. good luck fixing your pipe.
