I thought it would be fun if we could all post those scenes in movies that stuck in our memories forever. I recently watched Children of Men (shame on me for not watching it before!) and this one scene is beyond amazing. The last three minutes of it, to me are one of the most powerful scenes ever seen in a movie, it's just so beautiful how life, if even for a short time, can stop all the chaos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuEiHT3BR8U
neither have I, just that one scene. Mickey Rourke is one smooth cat. I think scene for scene, Taxi Driver is my favorite. actually, my favorite scene at the moment might be Werner Herzog's monolouge about the end of Dirty Harry in Julien Donkey Boy. and on the topic of Ewan Bremmer (I think that's it) Trainspotting has some great ones as well.
Yeah when I was reading Trainspotting immediately came to mind, the monologue of I chose life, it's awesome. Also it made think of Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction, that's another awesome movie scene.
There are a ton of scenes from Fear and Loathing that i could never forget! I looove the scenes from SLC Punk. When u talked about trainspotting for some reason i thought of SLC punk. I think its because of the hardcore people in both movies.
- 2001, A Space Odyssey when homo erectus threw the bone in the air and it transformed into the space plane is one of the all time classic SciFi moments - "No Luke, I am your father"
The end of Once Upon a Time in America when Robert DeNiro's character enters the opium den before he starts dreaming.
SHAME ON YOU ALL FOR NOT MENTIONING The end of EASY RIDER most legendary scene ever!!! I also like the opening scene of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
