http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=226386 After reading the biography of Muktananda in 1977, I was turned on to the idea of meditating, but never lived in a place proper for that, as of now I have been living for seven years in a place where I can do that, and I started just a few days back. I feel so different after twice meditating than I normally am, I know I am into something good.
It is so helpful to meditate, morning and evening. There is one thing I would like to share, breathing is so important to relaxation. Deep breaths, in, then out,hold...then release that last little bit in your lungs that is still there. It holds your fears, and anxieties. Feel that when you release that last little bit..we all hold old emotions and it has proved helpful to me. Feel your heart open as you do that....... Peace, OmGanesha
I have to agree with that. In Muktananda's ashram people would do something called Bastrika. It was rapid exalation, hold it ...and that done like that four times before entering into meditation.
