I think in the future meat eating will be like slavery was three hundred years ago. Three hundred years ago slavery was the norm, but no we look back and realize how messed up it was. I think some years from now we'll look back on meat eating and realize how messed up this norm was.

I'm almost positive that within the next 50 years we will be able to grow meat without raising real animals and killing them. Think about it, we can already clone organs and use stem cells as a blank palate to make whatever we want. I bet it will taste better and be more nutritious than anything around today as well. Science just has to make advances much slower than possible so that we don't get ahead of ourselves and allow people to put things that aren't safe into their body.

Sounds scary and unnatural now but sooner or later it will become the norm.
