Mean people

I really don't understand how there can be so many mean people on a Marijuana forum...

 

who's mean?

 

I don't want to call anyone out because then they will get all mad and mean again. But there are people who get pissed because someone new to the smoking scene asks a question that should be "common knowledge", but we all have to learn somewhere so i don't see the point in being pissy.

I also dont understand why people make these pointless threads, people are going to be who and what they want no matter what, and making threads bitching about it wont help shit, thus a waste of time for all viewers.

 

(Then why make an example by posting in pointless threads?... just let it go to the bottom)

 

Why are people on any internet forums mean?

Simple equation:

Normal person + audience + anonymity = asshole.

99% of questions asked by newbies can easily be found using the search function provided by Skip. Regulars get tired of the stupid threads, we've lost more than one great forum member because of it.

Exactly, thank you! The whole point of this thread was for me to tell people they don't have to be aholes, they can jsut ignore someone. So someone just joined the forum and either A. did not know there was a search function B. Did not find what they were looking for And so they post a new thread. Cut them some slack and suggest using the search function or just answer their question, don't be a dick and call them out on it or demand they use the search function.

 

And what's wrong with a repeat thread every now and then? A nice clean, green slate. mmm...

 

how do u join ANY forum and not already asume there is not a search fuction?

 

the search function sits right there at the top of the thread list, it isn't like you need to search for the search function.


and forwardventure, it isn't a repeat thread every now and then, it is all the fuckin time. Some newbie with half a dozen posts thinks they are a brilliant and that a long standing forum never has discussed cool movies to watch stoned. They don't even ahve the half a brain to suggest new movies instead they are the same overplayed movies. Music, movie, stashing, etc etc. If you think you've got a great thread idea it has usually been done very recently. The only repeat threads were weekly by jared in which he was taken advantage of one way or another. Also with the constant repeat threads, a lot of members who are quite valuable to the community have left because people blow up when other members suggest, nay, demand that people use their skills from the second grade and search a bit. Life isn't bunch of handouts

 

See you are just an angry child. There is no reason to be an ass to someone if they don't use a search button, I hate to see what happens when someone accidently unplugs your controller while playing a game on your Xbox 360, hahaha. There is no reason to argue with someone about it if they make a mistake, just remind them there is a search function or let it go, don't be a royal dick.

 

I don't have an xbox 360 or a plain old xbox, I find many other activities beyond video games to fill my time, namely reading a good book. I'm not quite sure why you think I'm such an asshole about it. Typically I say something about using the search function and then take my 15seconds to search myself and post a thread on the same identical topic wherethere were valuable posts.
