Why did it bother you? I feel it was absolutely beautiful and should have been asked.

    Who the fuck cares?

    Honestly... fuck that show.

Fuck those women. Fuck them in their fat, aged vibrator ridden vaginas.

Fuck their middle-aged diaper overloaded audience.

    Fuck.

Yup, the things that actually concern people in this country baffles me. Actually, it doesn't. I just don't know what other word to use.

I hate McCain and wish he would be asked hard questions. He rarely is, and it's sad that it took the (as SirRubin eloquently describes them) "fat, aged vibrator ridden vaginas" of The View, a daytime talkshow usually about diapers and brownies, to put McCain on the spot and actually make him explain some of his extremist views.

I want to say I loved it, but I have to admit: IT'S UNCOMFORTABLE TO WATCH. Is it just me, or do we have a hard time confronting authority the way we should? We tend to revere authority, and when someone stands up to it (in a protest, during a speech, on a talk show) it makes us uncomfortable. I'm one of those people, and it's something I've always hated about myself. I wish I were oneof those people who could confront authority with no guilt. We need everyone to be that way in a democracy.

I'd like to hear some thoughts ...

Those women asked questions that the press hasn't had the balls to ask. The smug mccain was hoping he wouldn't get put on the spot by difficult questions but he was and he faltered. They served an excellent purpose in my opinion. I don't have television, by and large it is too stupid to matter. Yet from viewig the clips and reading about it, I wish I had seen it.

There are a lot of smug, self important posters who believe they are far above the common mass of the rest of us... They brag about not voting...they are far too enightened for such pedestrian nonsense...in their own deluded opinion.

You can bet your ass I'll vote as I have in every election since 1968. At times voting may well be for the lesser of two evils. This election is far different though. Obama does offer the hope of change and in that people themselves may change, may believe themselves capable of being more than they have been. I'll vote for that. For those of you who are so far above the common man, why are you even posting here? Surely you have something better to do with your enlightened lives.

Five pathetic lines, 28 words and "fuck" were six of those words...ahh to be so wise and articulate.

it doesn't make me uncomfortable to see women questioning authority. what makes me uncomfortable is that he dodged all of the questions instead of presenting information that would calm their fears. when whoopi first asked whether she should worry about slavery...he completely ignored her until she restated the question, and then he just thanked her for making a point. the thought of him becoming our leader insults every fiber of my being.

if he cannot offer any words to calm their fears now, how will he calm the fears in this country when crisis hits? next time a disaster hits is McCain going to simply "trust in God" to help? I sure hope God has rescue crews and a fleet of helicopters to pluck us from the rising waters.

Do you honestly think that John McCain would go on the view without knowing the questions up ahead, and therefore potentially risking his presidential campaign. I have not watched the show, and refuse to watch the show... but I bet that he answered in complete generalities and terms that are statistically more likely to attract certain categorized groups of voters.

It's all just extra publicity. I can bet that some conservative commentators will characterize McCain as "strong-willed" and "sticking firmly to his positions at the face of a ferocious lesbian attack".

Do you think that was a question that really required an answer? Or deserved one?

i do think that the question could have been put differently, but it did serve a purpose. the largely out of touch audience of american daytime television may not have realized what is at stake in the supreme court. slavery isn't and hasn't been the issue for a while, but equal rights...still an issue. if mccain appointed judges that would interpret the constitution as "intended by the founding fathers" could that mean we would turn back the civil rights clock? to overturn roe v. wade would be riding that wave imo.

I wish I'd seen it. Thanks for the transcript. And kudos to the ladies that ask the questions that should be ask by pseudo males like "brave?" Sir Rubin.

It appears even Karl Rove thinks McCain's campaign has been spreading lies and overstatements. McCain and Palin are having a BAD week so far.

This sort of tirade is totally uncalled for, and demonstrates a certain adolescent male behavior that serves no purpose.
