do you notice how people who are the same age can either be mature or immature
so what do you think creates the maturity or immaturity level in people?

I don't really think there is a specific cause... Just various factors.... Genes, enviroment, parenting, atmosphere... Whatever.... People are who they are as a direct result of who they have been up to that point... Haha or something, I'm really tired atm and can't think straight...

That was a very good description, Souless, pretty much what I was going to say.

Well, it could be a demonstration of immaturity and pent up sexual agression.

but what if one could choose to be mature or immature?
or maybe the right wording should be what if one could choose to grow up? or choose to not grow up
but what if things that have happened in ones past block them from gainin that maturity that they actually want?

I think it's a lot of things. If people never have to take responsibility for themselves, they'll never mature because there's no reason to. Also I think it depends on the moment. I consider myself to be pretty darn mature most of the time, but my brother (who is even older) starts shit with me and next thing you know it's a full-out "I know you are but what am I" kind of argument. *sigh* Immaturity can be fun, if it's harmless and doesn't lead to anything disasterous. Too much maturity is bad for the inner child. It's about picking the right moments for both.

I have always been a strong believer of blaming the parents. It takes strong parent/parents to mold their child/children............

hmm....i can see this point, but then again...the child once raised has the ability to make her/his own choices and whether or not they decide to follow what their parents taugh them might also decide on their maturity level...
for instance if a kid was brought up in an lonley abusive home, when they get old enough to be on their own they can either be mature enough to learn a way of coping with their childhood and decide to not be the same way as their parents.....or they can choose the other route and not learn to cope with it and turn out to be like thier parents.
maybe maturity is all in observation or will power and respect for others. did i just get off topic? if i did, sorry
