I intend on moving to the US in the next few years, and find myself drawn to this state. Could ye kind folk please tell me what ye know about it...inparticular, the towns around the Boston area, such as Salem.. Will it be hard to find like-minded people? Thank you.
I live in Florida(Daytona Beach) and Mass(Duxbury). Id say mass is greatespecially if your into seeing all four seasons . Salem is actually a little ways north of Boston . Personlly I don't like there a lot I visited a couple times but it wasn't my thing. There are some great parts of Boston especially Newbury street its awesome there and Landsdown st rocks too. A lot of people from over seas come to boston too . I was born there and my dads parents emigrated there a little bit before his birth . Your Irish I see and youd really like southie . Its the place where all the irish mostly live and there a lot of good pubs where you can make decent money. Boston is very friendly to the Irish I think youd like it .BTW im 100 % Irish and with dual citizenship. Have an awesome time if you move there or just for a visit . If you into a slower paced living I would go to the cape though . And I just realized your 16 so pubs you need to be 18 but you may be able to bar back and Boston resteraunts pay good money if you can work the hours.
I hear there's alot of Irish there...I wouldn't be going there for another 5 years maybe....so I'm gonna' spend some time looking into it. If I moved, I'd be interested in meeting other hippies, playing music and maybe starting a business selling stuff. Thanks for the info. :sunglasse
If you're looking for hippie country you'd want to try more west MA, in the Berkshires, such as northhampton or especially Amherst.
