Marijuana selling shortcuts...

Whats some shortcuts and tricks some of these guys do to make extra cash out of their green? For example taking a gram or two out of bags, whats some other things they do that you can watch out for?

 

To keep themselves up on top, some greedy people will do anything.
But your average dealer is not looking to fraud you, in my experience.

If people are wetting your buds to make them weigh more, or taking weed from your bag then they don't deserve your business. They are not "shortcuts" they are scams and should not be tollerated.

 

How can I tell if their wetting them?
How do the wet them?
Does it make it less potent?

I've heard of people also sticking it into the freezer for a little bit for more weight. Is this true?

I know a few of these because it's stuff that I AVOIDED to keep good business.

-We always -ALWAYS- waited until people were sitting right there to weigh their bag where they could see. If it was pre-weighed, we'd offer our scale to let them weigh it.

- If we had really huge buds, we'd pick them to avoid selling too much stem... doesn't matter to us, we saved stems and stuff for oil, anyway. If you have a choice, go for smaller buds... bigger buds = more stems.

- If we got really wet stuff, we'd seriously *refuse* to sell it, or sell it for a few bucks cheaper, until it dried out. We got it really cheap anyway, so it wasn't a big deal to lose a few grams of water weight, it still paid for itself and then some.

- Some people will throw something in the bag that you don't notice until you get home and start picking/rolling/whatever, for extra weight. Another advantage to weighing peoples' bags in front of them.

- Never buy pre-rolled joints, that's just asking to be ripped off. If someone just wanted a joint, or wanted one/a few rolled for them because they couldn't roll, I would wait until they were sitting right in front of me, talking to me and everything, before I'd weigh it, bust it, and roll it for them.

Only time you can really take grams out of bags are when your selling high quantites. I had an old 100 gram scale. When I would sell QP bags I could take up to 12 grams out of the bags before it would weigh under. I would even call people up after and ask them if it was straight, nobody ever complained. I would have the cheapest prices and was the most reliable so people didnt mind if they got shorted sometimes....no lie either.

 

Man, one time, it was around 10PM, this fucker (we knew him pretty good...) calls us going "Can you get me a QP tonight or tomorrow?" We found him a QP at 10PM (and we deal with old people) on a WEEK NIGHT in less than an hour, for way less than most people would pay for a QP (advantage of knowing old people)...
Got it back to our place, weighed it, it was 3 grams short, and the bitch threw a fucking hissy fit. My husband didn't say much, but I almost fucking lost it on him. He was splitting it with one of his buddies, who was fine with taking 3 grams short on his half (good friend of ours) and even he said the other guy was being a fucking ****. That was the last time he was ever in our house, or even spoke to us, hah.

Yeah, it was ridiculous, haha... he's lucky my husband kept to himself, 'cause he's a little guy (and he looks like Curious George) and my husband's a pretty big guy. So I was like "Oh, bitch bitch bitch, 3 grams, you fucking fairy, get out of my house and don't come back crying" haha, and it was AFTER we told him "Hey man, it might be a little short and we can make up for it if it is, it's from an older guy with a weight-scale (not digital) so it's not a big deal if we go back and say it was short" Needless to say, we told the guy the whole story, but told him not to worry about it, haha.

 

i agree with what was posted above...there are no shortcuts, only scams. there are easy ways to scam people, but if you're that kind of guy then you shouldn't be selling. buying in large quantities (or growing your own) is the only way to make some money on selling. if you start scamming enough people, word will get around and you'll be smoking all your weed by yourself unfortunately. capitalism will prevail in the long run.
