Never mind that, you better hope they don't bring in the smoking ban in all restaurants, hotels, bars, coffee shops etc like they did in Ireland or everyone will be fooked. Think alot of other European countries are considering bringing it in if it works in Ireland.

i remember the debat in early june but I haven't heard anything about a decision on the matter.

what I'm afraid of is that the increasing THC levels will delay or even ruin the chance of weed becoming completely legal

It's unlikely it will ever happen, in fact that is... They might pass a law to conform to the EU law but they won't enforce it. There's too much at stake, and Amsterdam makes it's own policies for centuries.

BTW, many law enforcers here visit cofffeeshops regularly for their smoke.

I've been saying that for years. The less you have to smoke, the healthier. Actually marijuana THC levels aren't any higher, they've just gotten better at extracting the resin to make more potent hashish with less vegetable matter included (iceolater & pollinator methods).

They've also gotten a lot smarter in growing, harvesting & curing to yield cannabis that has the most resin. But the resin itself is still the same drug it always has been. It's not like it's being chemically altered into a stronger drug like processing opium into heroin. But that's what they'd have you believe.

indeed, and heres something interesting i noted aswell:

"The Netherlands, the first country to legalize euthanasia, last year also became the first to make cannabis available as a prescription drug in pharmacies for chronically ill patients."

now their not making a direct correlation there, but it is highly suggestive...their linking euthanasia and suicide to marijuana use...if thats not the media excercising the power of suggestion, i don't know what is.
