Well, in about 30 minutes I'm leaving with the marching band to go to a parade I can't even march in. This really sucks...but I guess I'll get over it. Foot surgery and marching band just don't mix...blah. Such a great day...haha. So, who else in here is in the marching band? Cody
I used to be in marching band but I hated it. Well I liked every part of it except the marching. The tuba (as you could probably guess) was my instrument of choice. I used to use every excuse not to march. Do you do all that marching stuff on the football field? Thats what we used to do. It was always so hot in august when we started and then it was really cold by the end of it all. I was always anxious for concert band to start, but hey what ever's your thing man.
I was in band - and yes, I was a proud "band-geek". During marching season I was in color guard, played clarinet during concert season and was also in winter guard. Guard was actually more my thing, that's where I excelled. I loved it though. Sorry you didn't get to march in the parade and you're right, foot surgery and marching band don't mix well. Good luck recovering from your foot surgery and Enjoy band! G.
I was in marching band. But I didn't march. I was a pit-member. I play xylophone. It was so great! Holly
::raises hand:: No. 1 competitive marching band geek right here... I love it...its such a wonderful sport to do...it opens up the means for so many friendships, and at the same time teaches you about respect, musicality, and discipline... Marching Band is just awesome. I'm going to miss it next year if my college doesn't end up having it...
i was in marching band for 3 years. my first year we had an awsome band director, we ended up winning all our competitions and did great in states and were going to get bumped up into the next competitive category. it was fun being excellent, it made everything else about the group better. but hten we left the school and was replaced by fucktard after fucktard, and the whole music program went to shit, marching band most of all
