I will just post the link http://www.abc15.com/dpp/news/natio...an-dies-after-eating-dozens-of-bugs-and-worms all that just for a snake ? desert rat
A roach eating contest? WTF? And what's it got to do with that old indecent exposure thing? "It's unclear if he was ever convicted". GTFO
Pretty sure most bugs arent poisonous. A lot of non-western cultures consider many bugs a delicacy. Duh.
I've heard that bee larvae are wonderful. It's actually kind of weird that we don't eat any land-bugs (we don't seem to have a problem with sea-bugs) because they're a really great, efficient nutrition source.
Yep, it is a bit odd. I tried a Witchity grub when I was in Australia....and I've gotta admit I wouldnt make a habit of it unless I was quite hungry. The consistency was the worst part...!
So who won the python? This story and the liquid nitrogen story are both sick. What are people thinking these days to do such stupid things?
Pretty sure I'm not brave enough to try it. Most bugs aren't poison but some of them are, and I'm not sure I feel like playing "bug roulette"

ALRIGHT, this whole thing is dumb as you wouldnt believe. i live in florida, and cockroaches even live in the wild here. they are nasty as hell. AND.. pythons are an invasive species in the everglades. they actually eat aligators. they are trying to get rid of the pythons, but they are there, entrenched, and aint gonna go away. SO LET'S GIVE THE DUDE A PYTHON LOL!

To me a snake is not a pet , but I have had to deal with a few rattlers . desert rat
So I was living in Cambodia and was sitting around this restaurant at the bar one evening. And this lovely Cambodian girl comes up to me and sits down. She has a big bowl of roaches in her hand. They're a delicacy over there, and they were smoked. Anyone she offers me some, so I figure why not. They were pretty good. Tasted a little bit like lobster. I had a few more. You have to peel off the exoskeleton, but the inside is soft and smooth. They're like larger roaches, a water bug there, not like the German roaches in your house, which are very unsanitary. Don't knock it till you've tried it is all I have to say.
