God I love to play guitar and sing when Im stoned. Not only do you become more relaxed, you really enjoy the sounds you make much more. I own a fender strat, and I was just playing and harmonizing with the guitar. I'm not sure if its a combo of relaxtion and enjoyment that makes me be able to discover new things so much better, but its a noticable thing. I can visualize my throat, lungs, and voicebox sorta, my focus is much better, and Im able to just flow along on the fingering. Not to say singing and playing in a non-high state isn't cool too. Practicing helps me relax in those times, but dang, I make such cool things when I'm high. Nothing really complex, but its just cool to play a power chord combo strum, or one of my own chords (which may be actual note chords, Im not sure - Ill have to look them up), or a fingering I figured out that sounds good. Then, you get into a rythym and make these sounds that self-hypnotize you, and you just get more into the rhythym and start harmonizing. You go from la la la to making up words that sound good. I wish I had recorded them tho, cause I was flowing so much I couldn't remember the string of rhymes I did. At least I can write down the fingerings/chords I find that sound good. *runs off to rock some more*
My friend has recording software in his basement along with my drumset and a few guitars. Its great to get stoned and record all kind of weird stuff or long improvised jams. Masterpeices such as "Bread is your past present and future #3" have been recorded there. Good times.
Very cool, I'm getting together with a couple of bassists to bounce things off one another, and do some jamming. One of the bassists apparently has stuff for recording on his computer. Hopefully we can do that sooner or later. I'm actually making chords by singing and finding a combo that blends well with what Im singing. Learning something new every time I pick that puppy up!
i record endless sessions of playing with Sound Recorder lol then i listen to the recordings a lot and try to combine bits and pieces to make a song you gotta record it man, if its good shit, then its good shit and you will enjoy it later
When im comming down from a psychedelic drug i usualy grabs my guitar and starts playing. And almost allways i come up with new songs. Then the next day i find the songs that ive written and i cant belive that i could ever come up with stuff like that. I just let my inspiration flow i token rhymes, suggesting rythm that will not forsake me till my tale is told and done...
I like to make electronica beats on acidpro when I'm sober and when I'm high. I don't notice much of a difference except that maybe I'm a little more creative when I'm stoned. Psychedelics however help me to come up with some crazy stuff.
